I need a wee bit of help�.

.�actually I need a lot of help. We have this marvelous Hesston 500 self-propelled mower conditioner. Age unknown but has the three tine beater for feeding the crusher. I need�s the help finding an auger better than the rusted out one this machine has in her. Following three pictures identify machine (2) and the part (1) needed. I�m figuring a western state may have what I need having been resting in a much drier climate than Michigan�s. May I thank all those ladies and gentlemen in advance whom may also volunteer even a few thoughts upon my problematic matter. My mail box is open.

Marvelous: that little Ford 144 engine.

Looks to be a 14 ft head, which was the most common, so you may be able to find an auger, but yours doesn�t look that bad. If it�s just surface rust, do as Allan suggests and run it. Your reel looks like it hasn�t seen much use.

I took over a field were there is one of those just sitting abanded. Looks in good shape, just the guy anin't good at working on stuff, I mow around it every year. Look up a Gordon Kimball in Milford or Highland, Michigan. I know the header is in good shape, you can probably get the whole unit. If you can't find his number then e-mail me and I will get the number or call him for you.
