Well the daeler called about 5pm. Talked to the guy that worked on it and he said the same thing you guys where saying about it being the tucker fingers and he said go ahead and adjust them as need. Well after about an hour of messing with it I got it to tie prettey well. Missed one knot out of something like 15 bales which at this point isn't to bad since it had been missing 12 knot on 6 bales.

Next week I get to see if it will not miss on maybe 400-500 bales, tonight we just put up 24

Did you make sure the tuckers are all the way in the home position? That spring in the linkage is critical. You won't tie a single knot on either side without it so I guess it must be there. Make sure it is pulling them all the way home.

Yep spring is there, it doesn't pull themn back home real fast but it does pull them back all the way after a few seconds or so.

Hey Old, make sure the tucker finger return spring isn't missing, when the break they fall off and you don't even think about it. I like about a 1/8" to a 1/4" clearance between the tip of the tucker finger and needle.
Brent Cawthorn at S & H Farm Supply in Springfield is about as good with a square baler as anybody I know if you don't get some satifaction.
