I'm repairing the gear box and cannot find how to get the variable speed pulley off the gearbox. Is there a hidden key or can I just pull it off? Any ggod ideas appreciated!

I had to go to a parts breakdown myself to answer your question. There are two different styles used. Before serial number 373123, the shaft and inner half of the variable speed pulley are all one piece. Take the nut off on the shaft on the other side of the gearbox. On the later units, the pulley is held on by a snap ring. Steve
