I have a 477 (never owned a haybine before or used one), and I am trying to figure out how to narrow my windrow. The manual talks about 60-70" variability caused by adjusting the windrow baffle (that flap at the back). Is narrow baffle up, or baffle down?

First cutting with it on saturday, was it ever a nice job. Baled 2 acres last night.

If you drop the two handles all the way down to the last holes this will spread the cut hay to the fullest width and If you raise handles all the way up this lifts the flip and lets hay shoot back along narrow curved sides and this will be your narrowest setting. I have a 477 haybine also very good machine.I have MF65 tractor which is low ground cleance and can only windrow slighty I set my handles in the 3rd. hole
