Thoughts on why front mounted mocos haven't caught on? I'm suprised I haven't seen some of you with front and 3pt. both.

Loren Its the same reason we don't all have new tractors.

We can't justify the cost to use on 20 to 100 acres three times a year.

I bale enough hay for 75 cows and there calves each year and only spend about 16 hours mowing hay.

With one of those high priced out front mowers I might save 8 hours a year.

Yes I have some newer equipment, but I have to justify the price of every piece I buy or it stays in the dealers lot.

Just my thoughts, Gary

my front mount is 13 ft. wide, so 3 point would be useless. However, the hydraulic swing type will swing out far enough to start where the front mount quits. If I had one of them, I could cut a 26" swath but that is rarely needed East of the Mississippi tho seen in Mont. Wy. etc.
