It is a Model 59 (from the name plate), and looks to be about 30 or 40 yrs old...gearbox leaks, but it does a fair mowing job...needs body work...does anybody know anything about it, like wnat hp the gearbox is rated, or how old it really is, or where to find out?

thanx,

C2

The first selling season of the 59 cutter was
in 1964. The product manual is dated 5/64. This
cutter was trouble free. The product manual does
not rate the gearbox. It is shear pin protected
as manual equipment and any overload will shear
a proper shear pin. The unit weighs 500 lbs. We
never had a gearbox apart. Chuck
