Retiming a Kuhn (NH, Deutz etc) swing back tedder

I've been fixing up an old kuhn 4 basket swing back tedder (it was sold under a lot of names)

Got it all back together yesterday to find out the basket they had off of it the last two years is 45 out of time and colides with the other basket.

It looks like I can knock a roll pin out of the top hub of the basket and maybe the gear will drop down and I can reindex or do I have to unbolt the gear housing, slide the (hopefully) splined shaft out and reindex.

I've never been into the gearboxes of one before.

I think it is a GH400 on the kuhn tag, 440 something on the Deutz-Fahr tag.
