i done some trading the other day and wound up with what i thought was a 7 foot brushog, i gotit loaded on the trailer and now i think its a finish mower, this thing is a model 507 jd serial number 001 its 7 foot wide and has three blades under it like lawn mower blades, and gearbox with a chain on it and belt that drives the outside blades, also its pull type with 14 inch tires in the back of it and a place for a hydralic cylinder to raise and lower it, what have a i got and whats it worth?

I used to have one. It wasn"t for heavy brush, but wasn"t a finish mower, either. Did well in grooming pastures, clipping stubble, even shredding corn stalks, but thick woody brush was a no-no. Mine also was Series Number 001, probably from the early "60s. Sold it a few years ago in good condition for $500.
