Over the last three years or so I have replaced and updated every piece of equipment I have with the exception of my old Vermeer 605C, I was not going to replace her until next winter but I can get a new customer if they are net wrapped. I am looking to spend about $15,000 so not brand new. What is everyones opinion of New Holland, John Deere and Vermeer. They must be 6" X 5" bales w/ net wrap and maybe a kicker bar????? I am personnally leaning to another Vermeer, but I will never totally park the C, I love it, if the new ones are better they will have to prove it to me. Just wanting opinions please, and thanks in advance.

Take a look at a Krone we have had real good luck with the ones around here fewer moving parts . and a closed chamber less leaf loss .

I have mine done with deere unit,he has brandf new unit now think 567,trrade in 535? both did very nice job, only real diff is the new one has the net edge wrap they call it. I have some units available in that price range also and his trade in I think is still available. Once you do net wrap you won't go back to string,it really makes difference in hauling and storage in weather.

Rick, the 567 also has the Mega Wide pickup that is wider and also has heavier teeth. The guy that does our baling just went from a 566 to a 567 this year and so far I like the cover edge wrap, it should help protect the hay more and I think it makes a nicer looking bale.

he did n't get the Mega wide pickup on his. still does fine. Edge wrap is nice but I don't see that big difference in what he had before either they both made nice bales. like said before my main priority is small squares.

You could probably get a used Vermeer 605L or 605XL with net for that price. They are a good baler and a lot of big farmers are trading up to the new M series.
