NH 273 Baler - knotter won't spin

even though trip arm has tripped. If I tap the knotter a little, it will spin.

Is there a dog in there that could be worn out?

it was the shear bolt on the knotter. Broken enough to cause problems.

There is also a spring loaded trip lever that has to fall to engage the knotter. If it's rusty, it will not always move on its own.
