I was baling hay yesterday and completed 4 bales and then, BAM, broke off both needles. I have yet to diagnose the problem, but what I really need to know is where can I get needles cheap? I know at the dealer they are $100+ each. Are there any good places for used baler parts? Any help would be great! Thanks!

I have a set of needles for your baler. Reasonably priced. Contact me.

Need to retime the whole machine. adjust the tripdog and make a brake adjustment. Just a suggestion. also its a lot easier to run the machine through cycles by turning the flywheel than buying needles at least till you figure out the problem. you can speed the tie process by pulling up on the tripdog when running by hand.

One of your problems is the safty stop for the pluger isn't working, probably a broken spring. I have a set of needles but I have to have out ot them what I payed for them and I payed $100 each for used ones. Last time I checked at JD needles where something like $200 each or more but thats been years ago

Yep, you were correct about the stopper. I checked the baler out last night and the stopper was in working condition, except there was a piece of stick wedged between the stopper and frame not allowing it to come up into the chute. Just a simple piece of wood cost me a lot of time and money!

Yep I have scraped out one 14T because of that type of problem. The one I had/have the stop wasn't working, then the plnger hit the needles and the needles broke the knotters and at that point it just plain wasn't worth fixing since I knew where there was another 14T for $350 and the part to fix the one I had would have cost over $700
