JD 510 round baler

Hello, I just picked up an old JD 510 round baler and I'm starting to regret it already. It picks up the hay ok, but more hay gets bunched up on the wrong side of the belts instead of into the rolling area. I wasted a whole afternoon and can't figure this one out, Can someone tell me whats going on here, or how to correct this?

The old JD 510 was the king when it came out. A good machine, but a pain to get use to. When you start to make a bale, move to one side and watch the grass in the bale chamber, when you see it make a couple of rolls then move the rig to the other side and even out the beginning roll. The old 510 requied you to weave from side to side in order to make a good firm bale. You have to watch the bale being made and weave the tractor to the side that needs more hay. When its time tie, back the whole rig up a few feet and then tie and dump. This will give you a clear shot to the windrow for beginning a new bale. Always begin on one side, probably the right side. You can't start in the middle, if so it will cause all kinds of headaches. I ran a 510 for years and finally decided to upgrade.

Ive got one too Ill bet your not weaving on windrow quick enough to start your baleall the way across chamber

Both rollers on the front rolling? Make sure of this. I don't rememeber exactly how they were powered but make sure they're both turning. Also if I rememeber this right, one of those rollers should have a rubber coating on it (I think). Is the hay dry? I mean DRY! If rollers are turning and dry hay what rpms are you running. I had to run my tractor at about 1600-1700 rpm as not to have this happen every now and then. Also slow ground speed until you see hay feeding in between the rollers. Once it gets going, it should keep feeding unless the hay is wet and sticks to the rollers.
I drug one of these around for a few years and have since gone to a new New Holland silage baler. Difference as daylight and dark. With that New Holland you just put the tractor in gear, drive until the alarm goes off, stop, dump bale and start over. I love that thing.
