I'm infested.

Should I be as concerned as I am?

How can I get rid of them. I have been trying a spring load trap that supposedly stabs the little critter. He has set it off 4 times though and I don't have a body.

Any great ideas for killing the little varmits?

A friend uses PhosToxs(spell?). You need a fumigant endorsment on your pesticide license however.

One trick I have heard of is to take a length of flexible exhaust tubing, slip one end over the tailpipe of your truck, and stick the other end into the burrow. Just sit there and let the engine idle for maybe 30 minutes. Some of the old timers used to swear by this method. I have never tried it.

I have had just a few so far, I watch the field close and open the hole, put some gopher candy "poisen" in and no more problem. Bob

My father in law uses the same trick his father did, use either a mouse or rat trap baited with peanut butter. He puts it near their hole and then covers it with a large coffee can. They pop out of the hole thinking it's night, try to eat the peanut butter, then wham! Death.

Don't know this for sure, but have heard that moles love cutworms (grubs). If you kill them off with some pesticide on your field, the moles will relocate.
Anybody know if this is true or not?
