Here's the problem - How do you get your new toy (rake, mowing machine, baler, disc, etc.) home without mama getting suspicious.

Here's what I do. I start by having her hold a piece of metal or something while I drill a hole or grind around - all the time saying something like, "ya' know sweetums - I'm building this piece of equipment to save money so's you can get that new (insert whatever is appropriate / hair-do, dress, pair of shoes, etc.)and I really appreciate you helping me out". (DO NOT tell her the new equipment is stored over at the neighbor's barn!) Then, ya' bring the thing home a few pieces at a time and re-assemble, while banging around on stuff, grinding, and making other "building" sounds. Then when it's all done (assembled) well - there ya' go!!

I really never have tried this, but thought I'd get some opinions as to if it might work... whatdaya think?? Seems pretty dishonest doesn't it?

My wife dont care what I buy as long as it pays for itself in a year or 2. Trying now to figure out how to "justify" cementing the 36x48 pole building this summer, and i need a moco, and I need to fence in 7 acres, then I need cattle to live there. This aint gonna be easy to fudge the #'s

THought I had gotten away with one this year.

I bought a new tedder. Met the guy delivering at noon(my wife works) and put it behind the barn with 5 or 6 other pieces of equipment. Granted it was new and others are real old, but she doesn't pay attention.

It worked like a dream....until... the payment book came(4 years no interest, I couldn't resist). Of all days, it came on a Saturday when she got the mail. I was busted...

Oh well, couple nights without any and it was behind us. Next time I will have the documents sent to my work....

Oh and it did cost me some outdoor furniture for about $1,000.....

What ever deal I find that I can't pass up, I plan on roughly double the cost. Last year it was a new CNC plasma system for me and a new Yamaha 52" upright grand piano for her. Funny thing about her's is it's not usually a tax deduction.
I suggested a Viking long arm quilting machine to her, for her that I found. She's real suspicious now!

Had a buddy that had acouple of horses for his wife. Her friends would bring over their horses and ride during the weekends. This brand new horse trailer appeared and she said it was a friends. Trailer stayed around for about 2 years. She would use it occasionaly. Then one day a fellow came out a said that he was repossesing it. Seems that my buddys wife was embezzling from her boss. My buddy had to pay $60,000.

Seems there is an incerdibly long and slow learning curve involved....or most just fail to ever 'get it'.

I see references to 'SWMBO'....and I think just what does that mean? Did this woman castrate you? Got a nose ring on you? Or is the man into bondage..hehe!

The best solution is to divest yourself of the female. Short of that, do as you please and if she insists on making a nuisance of herself....then by all means go buy her something....a set of Samsonite luggage and offer to pack it for her.

No, I don't have one. Yes, I did have one. No, I don't miss her, and yes there is a new JD in the shed and even money in the bank and...the sheets get warmed often enough to remind me that I don't want another permanent PITA!
