The NH281 I got a couple seeks ago wouldn't pump up the hyd. tensioner. The thing is an oily mess that'll need cleaned up and I still have a compression fitting to replace. Took the thing apart and found nothing wrong, replaced the cup in the cylinder that looked like it'd collapsed a bit, replaced the 1500psi gauge with a 200psi and by golly, right off I had fluid out the bleed and with just a couple twists the gauge came up to 40 with the plug in. Works like a champ, any pressure I set it at. I think maybe the gauge was such a high reading job I couldn't tell what was really happening. Maybe it was stuck too as the face is so frosted and cracked I can barely read the thing. On to fixing the twisted hitch now. The bottom boss of the hitch was re-welded on at an angle and out of alignment anyway so I'll probably need to cut it off and redo it again. A 3/4" pin JUST goes through with a hammer. Add the drawbar to that and it goes down to a 5/8"er. Got the right side airless tire in the truck for tomorrow at the tireshop. The manual for the 214T should be here Wed. so I should have a pretty good idea where that's at in a couple days. I think it's pretty close now thanks to all the help from you folks and a couple others. Appreciate it.

Not sure what is up with your hydraulic tensioner. I have a 282 and I don't think I ever get down to 200 pounds pressure, usually run about 800 to 1200. I make 100 pound bales though.

Hmm. The local dealer said a 1-12 bars gauge. 14 bars is pretty close to 200 lbs. Anyone else confirm one way or the other also??
