Just had to turn in here and take a look. Amazing that New Holland still sells the old style HayBines. I found my silf emagining how nice it would be to mow with one of these. I touched it and it was like the comecial were the guy touches the car and he sees himself racing along. Good thing they got lazzy sales men and none came out. They probbly have some stupid no payment or interest thing going on. and I was loosing control. Got even worse when I got to the new Baler.

Hey Kelly, looks like you were at Arnolds. I was there myself yesterday about noon. Yes land is crazy. I live 2 miles east of hwy 23 and 95 intersection. 3rd generation farm just put up 75 acres across the road from me for $9000/acre. I really wanted this land since I was young, but I cant touch that, you know with the price of gas and beer right now. They also listed 80 acres on hwy 95/Benton Cty rd 25 intersection for 1.1million. Aparently this 80 is in Benton County's "long term plan" to be commercial. If they get that then my place will go up for sale and I'll buy more land far away from here for a more reasonable price. Wish I'd a ran into ya at Arnolds.

Wonder what it would be like to start haying and not have to work over the old equipment. Better to do it before though than out in the field. If the heavy rain ever quits will be ready. Only thing about the old is that I don't have to worry about the big payments.

Only payment I have to make is on the land. Hay sales make up on some of that. But I purchased it at the right time. Already worth about 3rd more than I paid for it.
Land is stupid right now. I could sell that 25 acres for $70,000 right now, with out trying. Paid $49,000 2 years ago.
Crap 5 years ago I could have purchased 25 acres for $25,000 or less.
Dint even want to buy any land but figured I better or get priced out for life.

Kelly C; thats the exact same baler I have. and was brand new 4 /5 years back now (maybe longer time goes) anyway it was brand new never used when I bought it from fellow after estate sale. We never got the first bale out of it without bang clunk wham etc. Turns out the feeding forks and packer fork were all out of time,I tore it all apart retimed and then it would bale,just because brand new DOESN'T mean they work perfect. Would never go the thrower again thou. grew up behin them. As far as the mow unit if you dreaming dream disc mow go

And speaking of pathetic ... I love to go down to the local used equipment place and wander around there dreaming. My equipment is so old and worn out, even used looks likes a dream to me.

You mean that's not supposed to happen? Dang, I guess I'm not so bad because I don't have to get of the car for the visions to get gowing. Oh, is that worse instead of better? :>) I stopped by a dealer last weekend and saw the same baler, without the kicker though. I just have to be on the lot and a wonderful peace comes over me. One where there are beautiful windrows all laid in perfectly straight lines and all the machinery is actually humming a song to me. No rattles, clanks, or kerchunks to be heard. Geez I love that dream!
