I have some mis-aligned (bent) guards. I have helped others in the field and have used a tool, may have been home made, to put small corredctions in the alignment so the sectiions dont rub etc. Anyone know where I can get such a tool? I called the JD dealer and they said no such thing and replace any guard that is not right. Sure and mother nature is looking out for our best interest too. Rain/no rain, heat/no heat. LOL Appreciate any source, Bob

Get a long pipe or solid bar. Weld a loop 6 or 8"
from the end that will slide over the shank of the
guard. Then you can push down on the bar and pull
the guard into alignment. The short end will tuck
under the table for stability. Sometimes it is the
table that is tweaked. We used to make up a bunch
in the slow days of jan. for sale in June. PS-use
a twine string across the guards to straighten them real nice. Chuck

We just use a piece of pipe and beat one end in a little so there is not as much room for the guard. we stick that end over guard and bend back in place but watch what you are doing because the guards break fairly easily if under too much pressure.
