Anyone got a clue where to get sissal twine for an A-C Rotobaler? Had a source with Tractor Supply; however, they say they have discontinued it. I still use the baler on a regular basis. Thanks in advance. Kevin

Dad used Binder Twine, made by MN State Prison- but that was 40 years ago. Baler canister held 4 balls. Would today's 16,000 foot rolls for round balers fit?

Whats the difference whether it's ion a square baler or round or rotobaler? There's differnet thicknesses, but never heard of a "special" sisal twine for a rotobaler...

We get our's at Fleet Farm, we could also get our twine from any of the local dealers or Coop's (we've got a bunch of them)

We run 7200 in our Massey 12, used to run 9000 but the knots kept breaking if the bales were really solid (which they are)

Gentlemen; Thanks for your input on the twine. I did call my local Orscheln's and one store does stock the twine. The other does not. Rick, you are correct; the twine bix is smaller than the later plastic that Donavan is talking about. I have already added another twine holder to circumvent that problem. I am old and will not give up on my 1975 Roto Baler; there is a local Amish felloow that will rewind twine into the small balls; first you have to have the twine. Sissal works better than plastic on these units. Thanks again. Kevin

Kevin; great glad it worked out for you. the only time I see those units is when they come here to be shipped who know where for hobbie or collector. Local auctioneers usually let me know and end upcoming my way cause they can't hardly get any bids for them on the sales.

That makes sense if that's the case, I've only ever crawled on a rotobaler once to check it out, never noticed anything about the twine box though.
