Had a great read on old movies.....just wondering if any of you appreciate guitar music?

I enjoy listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn while lurking here. The man made his Strat(ocaster) come to life, so sad he died so young.

My favorite is pedal steel guitar in a country flavor, although the instrument is capable of SO MUCH MORE than country style. I"ve been playing a pedal steel for 30 years and still am just above a duffer on it. Also strum an acoustic 6 string and like to play backup to good oldtime fiddle tunes.

Love good guitar music of various kinds, but not much of anything that is close to "pop" music or blues. Mostly don't like electric...just acoustic. Otherwise, like a variety...classical, flamenco, bluegrass, etc.

I've been playing since early 70s. Tell folks I peaked out in about 3 months from when I started and haven't improved since! :) Mostly just strum...went from 6 string acoustic to 12-string acoustic in mid-80s and doing 12-string ever since.

What's the guitar equivalent of a duffer in golf...whatever it is, that's me!

I am a player and a fan. I like a lot of the late 60's and early 70's stuff but anything that has REALLY good guitar in it is soothing to my soul.
