Some days things just dont go well. The weatherman was predicting a 40% possibility of rain and the humidity was high so I thought why not cook a big pot of ham & lima beans. One small field left to bale and chances of getting to do it today isnt real good.
Rode the 4 wheeler a mile and half to the mailbox. On the way back I go by the tractor and baler. Why not go try that small field. I did. Everything went fine to the last windrow. Noticed hay piling up on the accumulator. Go check. Ran out of twine and Im a mile from the barn. Okay Ill just clean off the accumulator and come back tomorrow. Get back to the 4 wheeler and ride to the house. As soon as I walk in all I can smell is burned beans. Oh well, Ill just make myself a cup of coffee and clean up the mess. Make the coffee and the phone rings. Neighbor horse lady needs 30 bales of hay this evening. Already getting dark so I jump in the truck and head up to the barn and put 35 bales on truck and head to her place about 3 miles away. Pulling in her drive I remember the coffee pots still on. Turn around and drive back home to turn it off. Better take a cup with me because Im sure not gonna have any dinner its already 9:30.I wish I wasnt so old and maybe Id deal with things better.

Try this. Sunday took bracket and connecting arm off baler cause i noticed slop when i finshed baling. remove two bolts, find wallowed out holes on bracket. one hole could be used as is with larger bolt other one needs filled and redrilled. get done filling and drilling rebolt pieces together remount on baler, find out dumb bunny welded wrong hole. had to unbolt redrill and reweld and redrill the other one. Oh well!

What part of MO? Drove through Mo today from SE of St Louis over to Jeff City and Columbia and on north on 63 into Iowa. Lots of pretty scenery and so green. Hope you have some good crops. Ron
