You guys are lucky. We had 13-15" of rain in 6 days around mother's day weekend, three major Noreaster storms since then with another total 8-10 inches, and are expecting another good blow tonight into Sat with 3-4 more inches. Ground is like a sponge. Some of my hayfields on the river had 6-8 feet of water over them the week of 5/13. Some now have ducks swimming on them. Sun and Mon are supposed to be good, then more rain Tues through Fri or Sat. Only a few got some hay made last weekend. Others are green chopping or making wrapped baleage. We're buying year old to 2 yr old hay now and hoping!!!!!

Down here in NW Alabama, we had a high of 80 and low humidity today with a light breeze. Don't know what caused this but loving it here. It won't be long until we get in the mid-90's and high humidity to where when you walk out you are drenched in a few minutes.

Had to read your email to see what the big deal is, haven't been out in that part of the country, but around here, that's about normal humidity...

My goodness I never remembered humidities that low when I grew up in Northwestern Indiana! I remember humidities matching the temperature, like 98o and 98%. Great for growing corn but sure enough hard on people. Glad it's warm and dry for you, especially with a cutting of hay on the ground.

Allan; I know what you mean. I grew up running a D6 to clear/seed and combine dry land wheat in central Washington, (Trinidad). So dry you had to drink fast or the glass would be empty. Now with all the canals (from the Columbia)and irrigation ditchs it a whole different world there. Course 50 cents a acre land is now big bucks. I prefer to work in the dryer heat though. Bob
