Can anyone tell me where I might be able to buy a owners manual for a 1954 Ferguson Side delivery Hay Rake. Also is there a web site were I can purchase parts for the rake and read up on the operation of this rake.

I have an original operators/assembly manual. Rake went to scrap-too much wrong to fix with a reasonable amount of money. Guess I could copy the manual if you would like.

I would appreciated it. How much would you ask for the copy?

Thanks HC Dougherty

I do'nt need the side rake I have one of them but I was looking for the owners manual. If you have one how much are you asking for it. Do these rakes work very well?

I have a Ferguson DE-O-25 side delivery rake. It's the larger of the three point mounted, pto powered Ferguson rakes. The smaller one is DE-O-20. I like my rake. It's gonna need bar bearings one of these years, but I don't work enough ground to get too excited about rebuilding it yet. I paid $125 for mine. It was missing half the driveshaft so I had to spend about another $100 to build an all new driveshaft. It seems like the tractor half of the driveshaft gets pulled out and set on a shelf, then forgotten or lost, so look to see or ask the seller if the entire driveshaft assembly is included. I would also grab each rake bar near the end wheel connection and give it a good shake. Is there any play? If so, it's gonna vibrate and cause teeth to bang into adjacent bars, thus bending them. Plan on some bearing replacemnt if they rattle. I dont' know how much the bearings cost or how available they are because, like I said, I've been putting that job off.
