Would a loader off of a 600/800/900 series Ford work on an 8N?

With the right tools it could be made to work. But you would have to shorten it up some to fit. The 600, 800 etc are longer then the older N series tractor

Could you give me a better idea of waht needs to be done? You"re saying the unit would have to be shortened--would I have to cut into the frame, shorten it, and weld it back together? I"m new to this stuff, but I"ve got a helpful neighbor, from whom I bought the tractor, that may be able to help me with such a project if it"s within reason.

Well you will probably find if you hook it up on the front of the tractor that the back mounts that go under the axles and bolt on where the fenders are with be off by about 8-12 inchs. Depending on the loader you might be able to add a flat plate and still be able to bolt it up and not have to cut the loader any
