I recently purchased a small groung driven manure spreader, the owners son says its a New Idea. Its a steel frame, wooden box measures about 8'long, 40" wide, 16" deep, with about a 4 1/2" flair at the top. Its tractor drawn with 2 7.50 x 20 soild rims & rubber tires.(no spokes) Two levers on the front to engage & adjust the speed, Has full sheet metal covers on both rear sides to cover the chains & sprockets. The wood under the covers has a faint hint of red as well as the covers & bearings. A few places of the frame look like it could be green. It do believe its a New Idea but what model??? I can't find a serial number plate anywhere. Can someone out there help & possibly post a picture I can reference??? Sorry I'm not able to post a picture of it, but at least I can type. Thanks!

Thanks guys, the tires says 7.50 - 20, the frame & tounge look like New Idea but the sprocket & chain covers, cover the top & sides....kinda rounded. If facing it from the front the cover on the left hand side is hinged, you can open it to get to some grease fittings. I'm pretty sure it came from an old Oliver dealership that was converted to Massey Ferguson, all his other equipment was Oliver & supposedly he bought everything from the same dealer. If its an off brand.....I don't have a clue.

If it is a New Idea it should be a 24" wheel, not a 20"

Well, the link didn't work. I was able to get it into the implement photos. Take a look.

Attached is a photo of a New Idea No. 12A (I hope I did it right). What you described may be a 14A - they're a bit shorter.
The seriual number plate should be on the left sife front bottom corner.
