ID for JD plow

I have a JD 2-14 trailer plow, with rope trip mechanism. I am not sure what model number it is. I could make out "623" cast on one of the main beams. One of the points broke off, and the trailing wheel fell off, I need parts for this, but am not quite sure what model number to look for parts under.

The plow has a solid steel disc for a traling wheel, and spoke wheels.

Sounds like a Deere #44 to me. Manuals pop up on eBay from time to time.

It would not be a model 44 because they did not have cast beams with munbers in them, they were a flat bar bolted together beam. It would be a 4B or a 52, the 52 only had an open type clutch, the 4B early had the open type clutch, later had a closed type clutch same as the newer 44 had. The lift wheel on a 52 was 28" diameter, the 4B was 32" diameter, if you will check the archives on both the implement and John Deere boards you will find posts that give the beam numbers for both the 52 and the 4B

After looking at the implement photos, it is a 52 on rubber, no doubts at all!

Matt it is not a #52 if it has 623 stamped into the forged beam. It is one of the "4" series most commonly a 4B. True it looks like a 52 but a 52 has only 3 braces between the beams vs. 4 on the 4B. 4B has a lifting spring because it is heavier #52 has no lifting spring. #52 has 1 1/2" diameter axles and the 4B has heavier 1 3/4" axles. More differences but those are the easy spotters tips for today. You'll want parts catalog PC-253.
