We've got atleats 2 weeks befroe it starts to bud out, and in the mean time I've got some work to do on the new haybine, and some haywagons need a little TLC. Might even try to build another before 1st crop yet...

I wish we could be cutting hay. We've been rained out of the field for 17 of the last 18 days and it's not getting much better. We still have 200 acres of corn an 750 acres of beans left to plant and some of the corn will need sprayed as soon as the weather improves as well. We bought a new disk mower and haven't sold our old one yet so if we might be running two mowers to get the first cutting on the ground in a hurry.

Will be cutting hay tomorrow in Boone County, Iowa. I could probably cut today but my children have a program at school tonight.

Cool in the low to mid 70's here in east central missouri and lows in the upper 50's. Got orchard grass higher than my waist that is ready to go in the baler, but I am afraid it's too cool to cut. If the weather man says no rain first part of next week I may try and cut saturday or sunday, but I dunno, kinda iffy if it doesn't warm up much more. What the heck is goin on, it should be in the 80's to low 90's around here now.

Here at the lake of the ozarks the local weather man say its going to rain Saturday and or sunday so I'm holding off till next week. But I do have the MOCO hooked up and the one baler hooked up and just changed a tire on the tractor I'm going to use to pull the rake. I still have to hook up the big tractor to the NH 850 round baler but that should take very long to do.

Well, just checked national weather service website and they say we'll be clear of rain for sunday through middle of next week and it's gonna get to 78, 81, 83 for the high's sunday, monday and tuesday. If she holds clear on the forecast through wednes day and maybe inot thursday I'm gonna cut come saturday night or sunday?
