Thanks for the tips guys on the twine fingers, works much better now. The only problem is when I replaced the shaft I tried the knotters just turning the flywheel by hand and broke the shearpin on the knotter shaft. Confusing the heck out of me, now can"t turn the flywheel with or without the pin replaced, can"t for the life of me figure out what has everything jammed up, changing the shaft for the twine fingers shouldn"t have changed anything, and it still moves freely by hand. Is there any other cause for that shearpin to break? any tips would be great.

Glad other advice helped you. The baler is out of time now. I think you will have to get an operator's manual from the NH dealer, unless someone here has detailed instructions. You will need to check the timing on the plunger as well as the knotter.
