I pulled it home on Saturday between the rain showers, sure got some funny looks pulling that big machine through town blocking traffic!! Not to mention it"s not even time to cut hay yet in our area... It needs some attention on the sickle, has a few missing sections and a few bent/busted guards, but overall it doesn"t look too bad.

It's a 14' 1014+2. My dad is worried about cutting forst crop with that big of a swath, but we can only go on weekends anyway so I guess we'll have to see. Can't cut Saturday and bale Sunday, it just don't work. We rented an 1160 a few years back for 2nd or 3rd crop, man that was a sweet set-up. We'll probably put it on our Massey 285, unless my dad cuts with that and the other 9 footer and I cut with this one on the 1855... but for only about 30 acres I don't think that'll happen...

Between the rain showers? No wonder everyone was staring in unbelief. How many of us have such an in with Mother Nature that we can drag our latest find all the way home in the dry with rain showers falling on both sides of the road? Sorry! Couldn't resist.

My grandpa just ogt a great deal on yellow way back when, so for my brothers wedding back in 2004 it only seemed right to paint it yellow again... It used to be red before they added onto the other side, can still se the red paint on the boards that used ot be on the outside but are now under a roof in the extended haymow.
