We've recently purchased an 850 baler that had an electric twine wrapper kit which is missing some pieces. There is a manual twine wrapper kit available for half the money of an electric. Is the electric twine wrapper kit worth the extra expense over the manual? My tractor does not have a cab on it.

Mark,

To me it would depend on how much hay you were going to bale. I have an 850 manual tie and it does great as long as the cutting knife is sharp and the tension on the twine is right. I like the manual tie, but I only bale about 300 rolls a year. Have fun with your baler.

Mark,

I kinda liked that old manual tie. Worked just fine.

Mine has the eletic type on it and its nice but if your seat sits right and all I would guess the manaul type would also be ok. Shoot there been more then once because of some problem I have worked the tie set up by hand.
