I borrowed an old disc from the neighbor the other day, had to take it out of the weeds. It was a pull type someone converted (badly) to three point. Anyway, I finished plowing this morning and hooked the disc up. All was well about 1/2 way through the job and SNAP, the three point mounts broke at the bad old welds that were on it. Anyway, I may have to hook the old beast up and drag it, while I figure out what to do. I was thinking of making a three point frame bu that won"t get my field disced between now and next week!

I was gonna go buy one and he just said to use his. Sounded like a good idea at the time. I did manage to finish the field with it...it actually worked much better as a "drag" than a three point. I'll fix 'er up and drop it back into the weeds for him

Fix it right with good welds, and then promptly return it to your neighbor. Explain that the old welds broke, and that you ground them out good and did a quality job of welding it back together. Thank him for lending it to you. Now you have learned why not to be a "moocher" and borrow other people's equipment. Get your own, and don't lend it out. You will be much happier with this policy. You have just experienced reason #1 to own the equipment you need.

Exactly. This type of thing always happened to me then I wised up and bought my own stuff.
