I got one from 'mother Deere' two years ago when the weather got my origional one. Seems like it was less than $40.00. Been worth its weight in gold 2/3 times over.

The owner's manual is a necessity, but in addition to thatone, if you are wanting to do "repairs" the book you really want is called TM1243. It covers: 336, 346, 327, 337, 347, 328, 338, 348, 466, 467, 468 balers. Mine was purchased on the usual internet website.

By the way, TM refers to TECHNICAL Manual and the cover on mine is grey and green instead of the yellow found on Owners manuals.

Mine spends all summer in the tool box of my 337 baler too!

Try ebay, there are lots of manuals there. I buy mine from the loacal dealer. JD or otherwise. Take the following as not mean, just trying to get my point across. Buy an expensive tractor, equipment etc, then go cheap on manuals and fuel. To me that would be like saying it cost to much to put in good oil and change the filter so I will strain it through a old tshirt and reuse it. I bought some IT manuals because they were cheaper. Then bought the factory manual.

they may be proud --- but for the "most"(not all) they have reason..

and JD manuals are GOOD UNLIKE the silly newer AGCO massey manual... got a new massey tractor-- manual has 40 pages on how to plow..
none on what the silly red light on the dash is! and its a Warning light with a buzzer that goes off!!! talk about stupid.
