I've got a '39 model A/C "B" with a 4'belly mower. I bought it last year & plan to restore it for my mowing tractor.

The old mower, which is hand raised or lowered with a lever, is beat up but works. Anyone know if these belly mowers were A/C originals or if they were from another manufacturer?

No markings on the mower itself.

Thanks,

Gary

Most of those belly mowers are Woods brand, A few of them were made by Continental, and several were built by Arts-way. Arts-ways are green, Woods mowers are sort of an off white, don't know the color of the Continental.

The Continental Belton belly mowers that were made in Belton, TX were green and some later ones red. Most used a cable lift or fastened to 3 point but some may have used a lever. Continental Belton is now Ag-Meier and not sure if they even make those anymore. Also seen some yellow colored belly mowers that were made in Kansas I think? but forgot name of them now? You can search on woodsonline.com and find the mowers they still make.
