Which Drill?

Guys,
I have narrowed down my search to two drills - both in very good condition. I"m gonna use it to plant mainly grass seed (hay) and a cover crop like oats or sometimes some winter wheat on about 60 acres. Both have grass seed and fertilizer boxes. Which would you go with?

a McCormick-Deering 8 footer or an International #10?

Sorry Leroy..

The McCormick is an 8 foot with 14 hole 7in. spacing Has grass seeder. Single disc openers with a clutch lift. All feed tubes look good. Tires and paint good as well.
Kept in shed.
The #10 is in the exact same condition but a 10 footer with dual openers / 7 in. spacing, grass seed boxes - just about the same drill as the McCormick - but of course not as old a unit.

Both of these drills have been well taken care of and not mistreated at all.
I�m also thinking of parts availability � but have acquired a reputation to �fabricate� when needed!!

I would think the newer unit would have more parts avaible and if you have enough power to pull it it would get you done a lot faster if time is limited by other commitments

What model is the 8'er? Both drills could be the same No. 10 or both the same 8' size. You are not giving us any information to use to help you. Single disc, double disc openers and other features.

I personally like the international 10. I use one every year to plant oats and seeding. Mine is a 13 hoe drill. I don't have the covering chains which I think would be a big help. Just my opinion.
