Does anyone have experience with the Krone fixed chamber balers? I am needing to replace my Claas that I like very much and the Krones are a good bit cheaper than the Claas. The local dealer says that everyone that has them love them, but what else would you expect him to say! Thanks for any opinions!

We have been using a 4X4 for a few years. About 1000 bales a year. One wet season, we only did wrapped silage bales. This litle thing baled right behind the mower in wet conditions. They are very simple and easy to maintain. And they don't require lots of horsepower.

My neighbor has a Krone round baler and he loves it. Bought it used 5 years ago, does about 3000 bales per year both silage and dry bales. He's had very few problems with it. He's made silage bales in November as it was snowing and raining, and that baler can bale anything.

Have had an M&W (which is the same as a Krone but red & white)for 8-10 years. Very impressed with it. Bales stay completely round all winter; Very hard outside shell hence little spoilage; supposed to be soft core for easy feeding-although some are so tight that cattle have a hard time getting it torn loose; Will bale anything- I've even baled little short, fine 3rd cutting that you'd wonder how it rolls; Doesn't require much hp to run.
