Hey all ! Does anyone know the rockwell hardness of the guides that are bolted to the bale chamber ? Or does it really matter ? It just seems that since it's running steel on steel the pads on the plunger or the guides have to either be the same hardness or one has to be softer which I would guess to be the pads on the plunger since they are smaller and easier/cheaper to replace . I'm going to have some made and was wondering if it made a difference ? I talked to mother deere and got serious sticker shock . About $300+ for the four of them . The local welding shop has a square hole punch press and can make them for me . Thanks ! ...Randy

I have a 14T and a 24T parts balers. I wish some one would buy them both and get them out of my way. The 14T was in good working order till the safty didn't work and the plunger hit the needles and broke them.

OLD!!! I'd love to buy them ! But you live so far away ! The welding shop is making the guides out of stainless for me . All four for less than one would have cost at mommy deerest . I don't know how the stainless will work but it shouldn't wear out any time soon . I'm just hoping that the holes they punch in them are accurate . Take care ...Randy
