HAVE A DAVIS 101 LOADER ON MY FORD WITH A FRONT PUMP, BRAND NEW CONTROL VALVE (PRINCE) WITH FLOAT, HYDRUILIC LIFT CYCLINDERS HAVE PRESSURE IN AND OUT OF THE CYCLINDER. PUSH THE VALVE FORWARD BUT NOT TO FLOAT, CAN NOT GET DOWN PRESSURE. BUCKET JUST HOPS OVER THINGS I WANT TO PICK UP. MY WAGNER LOADER ON MY OVTHER FORD HAS DOWN PRESSURE, SURE MAKES A DIFFERENCE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THIS DAVIS LOADER?

The Davis (MF) loader was sold with either single or double acting cylinders. Chuck.

Have seen this a few times, and it is usually one of two things. 1 you have a defective "down" piston cup on one lift cylinder allowing the oil to bypass the piston in the down valve position.
2 The nut that holds the piston on one of the lift cylinder shafts is loose, allowing oil to leak between the piston and ram shaft when the oil flow is in the down position.
One trick that works to find the leaker is to put the valve in the down position and just let the oil flow through the leaker for about 5 minutes. The oil pipes and cylinder that is leaking will be noticably warmer than the other from the friction of the internal oil leakage. Saves the work and cost of repairing a good cylinder.

Are you sure the cylinders are double acting cylinder?? If they are it will only have power up but not power down
