Saturday I had to deliver 85 bushels of cleaned & bagged oats for my dad down to Kenosha (265 miles round trip) with my truck and trailer. I just had the spedometer and cruise control fixed a couple weeks ago after not having cruise for atleast 7 years and no speedo for a little over 2 1/2 years. Thank God I had that fixed, or it would have been a looooo ong trip. I've gone on long trips before w/out it and it's no that bad, but my foot tends to drift between too fast and too slow, and then starts to get tired after a while. I had my girlfriend riding shot-gun being my all-star navigator and had an extra 5 gallons of gas just in case in the back w/ the oats, along with my spare tire that doesn't go with me nearly as often as it should, and a tool box and a jack.

Made it down, unloaded, headed home w/ a stop to eat and made the trip in about 5 1/2 hours all told. I headed down around the east side of Winnebago, going through Sheboygan county and a host of others. Worst part was Milwaukee with all the construction and people whipping past going 85-90 mph. Other than that, the trip was rather un-eventful which always makes for a good day.
