My brother in Oklahoma just purchased a one bottom IHC sulky plow to pull with his horses. He says it is a 16 inch bottom with a hand lift. He is pulling it with 3 draft horses and having a great time.

Now he wants to know the model number of the plow. He found some numbers in various locations and they are as follows:

PO11237, this is on the beam.
POH56, this is on the frame.
N47, this is by the tailwheel.

I know a picture would make it easier, but so far he does not have one.

So, if anyone can identify the plow or tell me where I can find additional information I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Bill, I'm fairly certain your brother has is a McCormick-Deering P & O Little Chief Sulky Plow. It is a horse drawn one bottom plow with three adjusting levers. I have more information on this plow. I'll leave my e-mail open. I have a parts catalog and photo of this plow and can copy the pages that pretain to this plow and send them your way. Marv

Bill, part #N-47 "Land wheel axle bracket" and part#PO11237"Beam" was used on the Little Chief Sulky Plow.

Bill: Send me an email address on the hpoca form. I have some information on a handfull of different models. I take it by the part number his plow was made by P & O. and not Chattanooga. J.

John:

Will Send you the e-mail address as you requested.

I don't know about where the plow was made. Can my brother tell that by looking at the plow? Is that info usually stamped on the plow?
