How do I set this drill up to sow milo? I have never used a drill before so I don't know anything. The manual doesn't show milo but does show maize. Is this the setting I use. Also does the seed go in the grass seed box or the big box? Thank you for any help. Again I am new to grain farming

55 50. I don't know how my life story pertains to how to use a grain drill but here it goes. We used to raise bottle calves and sell them for 4H. Also we did a bunch of custom hay for people. A bunch of 20 acre places where I grew up with horses so hay was a good side business. Then i went to work in Missouri at the Ford plant, got married to a girl from up north and we bought a farm. Trying to get a vegetable farm going along with hay. I have a couple of small fields I was going to plant for food plots because thats my next side job I want to start. Lot's of hunting ground and the guys from the city want people to put food plots in for them. So that's how I'm new to grain farming. Was also new to driving a truck once. Oh and I had to learn to weld so I was new to that once.

Thanks. It seems that you "fit" quite a few different scenarios. All very interesting. Thanks for sharing. The wide variety of questions asked on the various YT MAG forums seem to "trigger" my thought process as to what"s "behind" the questions. It"s really none of my business, but curiousity abounds.

The saying goes "Curiosity killed the cat". I'm probably going to get "killed" for asking this, but you say you are new to grain farming, which makes me very curious as to how that came about. Not raised on a farm, but married into a farming family? A Yuppie (Young Urban Professional) who moved to the country? Grew only rowcrops previously and now am trying grain? (There's probably at least a dozen others reasons that I can't think of!)

It would be very interesting to know "The Rest of the Story", if you don't mind telling us. And thanks.

Is there a listing for Sorghum or Sudan Grass? Should be the same size/weight seed.
