Hi
I'm from Denmark, Europe and got an old Deering mower with the small farmhouse I bought 2 yrs ago. The mower was in good condition except the knife which was missing. I tried to find a used knife for a long time and ended up calling the local machine shop - they could deliver a brandnew knife in 2 working days for ~$165. I bought the knife and have used the mower for cutting 2 acres of hay with no problems at all. So even if the mover is old it still works - and you can even get spareparts for the old lady!

Best Regards

It probably has no value above scrap .I was at an auction in Ky. last weekend with horse drawn machinery .Mowers completly restored were bringing between $350.00 to $600.00.But when a guy would figure Cost of paint ,Horse tounge ,Sickle ,guards, hold downs,Pitman ,Etc there wasn't much room left for profit. One group of J.D. mowers ,a #1,2,3,4 all fully restored brought $2250.00 when sold separatly and then went to $2750.00as a group . They were in " as new "cond.
