Wanted - Burch planter plates

My brother has an older 2 row Burch planter, and is looking for plates and spacers for corn and other plates if available. The plates are no longer available through Burch.

Do you have any idea what "Burch "plates look like? I have some plates which are being used with a rope and pully to hold my shed door shut.
I have no idea what they fit but do know they aren't Deere or IHC.

Me too! I was just given a 2 row Burch planter last weekend...minus plates. It's pretty rough, but I'll resurrect it. The old man who gave it to me said it was a Blackhawk planter....but the castings plainly say Burch on it..... ..did Burch make the Blackhawk?

I'm not familiar with the Burch planters or thier plates. Blackhawk may very well be just a Burch model...but that would be a guess. However, regarding plates my nephew did contact Burch Mfg and they told him the plates or dies were no longer available...so all that one can hope for is that somebody out there has some used ones.

From my limited research, it seems Blackhawk was a Co-Op brand name and they were made in Bellevue, Ohio. I wonder where Burch was located...that may give a hint.

Blackhawk was first made by Ohio Cultivator and is an old line, possibly older on planters than Deere and Blackhawk & Deere were the 2 top rated planters of all time up thru the 40's into the 50's. Blackhawk was sold by Coop and was later bought out by Cockshutt and was built untill Cockshutt was taken over with Oliver and Moline to form White. Have heard of Burch planters but never seen any. We did have a Burch disc and I think they were sold by Ford in the 50's
