Hi Everyone, I found a MF 43 2-14 for 250 bucks - decent paint and its missing one coulter disk, but the rest of it (the coulter assembly) is still there.

Is it worth it at that price? I've got a MF 135 so this should be cake for the tractor to pull it. Or alternatively, am I better off buying the 72 3-14 plow thats closer to me?

Visually, the 43 has the majority of its original paint, and I think its a trip-beam plow and the 72 has little of its original paint, but the moldboards on both look to be in good shape.

#43 plow is a good one. Still parts available (14" and 16") Wish we were closer, I've got a coulter disc for one (with hub) laying in my shed.

MF Poor, this is probably the plow I am going to get, where are you located? I'm interested in the coulter/hub assembly that you have.

I agree buy the 2 bottom. It will pull easily and do a good job behind your tractor.

If you go with the 2 bottom set up properly it will work in all soils, the 3 bottom will be too much in sod or heavy clay. IMHO

If you can find a 2x16", it"s a good fit behind that size tractor.
