IH 46 baler and plastic twine

Anybody know if plastic twine will work in a IH46 baler. I keep hearing stories that regular twine could be in short supply - I expect one day no one will make it anyway as there won't be any demand when our old balers are finally gone (or those of us using old balers).

it will work but you may need to change the twine discs and knives. I have a model 37 and we tried running plastic twine with the sisle twine discs and knives and it did not work because the twine was too slippery. just my expirience.

It should but you might have to try the heavier gauge plastic twine, I know we ran into that with an old NH Superliner.
