JD 7000 plateless 4RN planter question

Is there a way to determine the age of my "new" planter by it"s serial number(047240)? I"m assuming it is from the 70"s but am not sure. I need to get a operators and parts manual and am not sure which one to get.

Double check the sprockets in the seed transmission. Early models had sprockets with fewer teeth- 7,9,11,14, etc. Later ones had 14, 18, 22, 28 etc. teeth. Ratios were the same but it's easier setting the right population if the book matches the sprocket setup.
