I spent an couple hours looking around, BSing with folks, and left by 11:30. Happy purchaser of a hot dog and pizza slice. Looked like the place to be if you needed a clapped out haybine or square baler. Hopefully the quality will be a little better at Duksa"s in two weeks.

Yes, things seemed to be a bit pricey. I still managed to pick up the Paul cattle scale, a Stihl cutoff saw and an Atlas band saw. How did you make out? Get a haybine?

That auction crew is a shifty bunch. Pretty brash, too. Ed Flood himself was bidding a lot of stuff up, along with that white-haired guy who apparently is on Ed's payroll as well. When the yellow Ford tractor came up toward the end of the day, there were 2 bidders - the auction staff and one legitimate guy. He ended up with it, but it cost him another $1600.

Every time I was bidding on something and saw Whitey jump in, I got out. I'll be damned if I'll play that game.

The Jacquier auction in Copake is in a couple of weeks. They usually have better stuff, but Phil has a good following and gets top buck. Of course, I still have to be there, hoping to pick up that occaisonal bargain..... ..

I was at the auction with a couple of buddies it`s funny we also saw some strange goings on w
ith the bidding,takes the fun out of a good day.When and where is the Jacquler auction in Copake?
