Any one have a good source for rollbar rake teeth. Already looked at TSC. There must be after market teeth some place.

always remember nh does not make rake teeth they outsource and there are only 2 makers so if you do not buy aftermarket you are getting ripped off

There are basically 2 MFG's on NH steel teeth. Rima- and US Spring-(OEM)
The Rima tines have a very slightly smaller coil. You can get the OEM tines in the aftermarket.
I hear this a hundred times every year that the new tunes are not as good as the old tines.

The truth is if you put new tines on in spots they are longer and will hit more obstacles. The best thing to do if you need allot of teeth is to replace all the teeth and use the old ones for replacements. That way you will have to adjust for the new tines and then you will be replacing tines with like tines once they are worn.

I like a lot of stuff from TSC, but their NH rake teeth are _aweful_, don"t stand up to making one windrow. Soft wire, they bend like a pretzel.

Runnings is a regional farm supply store around me, they have replacement teeth as good as OEM. So, they are out there, just have to look.

Brad,

Do yourself a favor and stick with the OEM teeth. They are priced reasonably and last longer. The last time I priced them, NH steel teeth were running a little over a buck and rubber were under $5.

Many dealers are running their spring sales now and you can get discounts of 5 to 10% if you shop around.

My uncle used to say "only a rich man can afford cheap paint". I have found that his theory applies to just about anything - even rake teeth.

Good luck,
Scott

Well I guess I will get them from NH. The closest case/IH dealer has after market ones too and cost more than NH.

I would agree. The last time I bought teeth for a 56 rake, they were a bit over a buck each. You wouldn't drive far or pay much freight, and you'd have spent more money searching for cheaper than you might save. I've found that there's better ways to save on parts than NH rake teeth.
