What years were the John Deere 37 trail-type mowers produced?

Also, if we can narrow it down further, what year would a JD 37 be if it had serial # 022197E?

Only way you might ID it for year is with a JD parts book PC880 which also covers the 38 & 39 mowers. Not all parts books list years but sometimes they do with serial number breaks for parts changes. They made them in 60s to early 70s ??

I don't think I really need a parts book, it's in good working condition. What I really want to know is the rough time period it was built in. I was thinking of pulling it behind my '52 A for the local show this summer, but don't know if it would be considered "antique" or "vintage".

Still, thanks for the pointer!
