Anyone have pictures of an allis chalmers hay rake you could post here or send to me? I just got a hold of one and need to get an idea as to size and weight so I can figure out what kind of trailer I need to haul it on.

Thanks,

MACE

Shouldn't be any problem loading it on a 6 1/2' to 7' wide trailer by 16' long.Doubt if it weighs more that 1,000# if that much.I owned one. They are a pretty good rake.

Which style? Early fifties was a pto driven rake, hi and low speed with tedder (reverse), four bar, raked about a ten foot swath. Later style was roll-a-bar style, eight foot swath? Either one would weigh well under a ton.

Look on ebay for old sale brocuers under allis chalmers. I believe what you have is a modle 77 or 78. Is it belt drive from the axle? 78"s had ofset rear tires, 77 had a straight axle.
