Just posted a picture on the implement phots of JD drill. Honest it just followed me home. Took a bit of loading and chaining down to get it to follow though. Take a look and help with the year and model. Thanks

Your press drill is an LLA. They were made in either 6" or 7" spacing and in sizes ranging from 10' to 14'. The 14' was made only in 7" spacing and was designated a 24x7 for 24 disks or runs spaced 7" apart. JD made an LL before the LLA that was very similar but had an angular galvanized box. They also made drills after the LLA's designated as LL's with painted boxes but with larger seed capacity and only in 8' models. Your drill has JD's traction feed fertilizer attachment - good unit. They also made 6' & 7' drills designated PDA that looked just like the LLA's.

Allan; Welll, Very carefully. Actually it wasnt hard, two loader tractors lifted and I backed the trailer under it so the tires straddled the fender. Put blocks under the frame and chained it back, then the rear and front. several chains and binders and two 2 inch straps. Just enough weight on front to get it to a friends, put a big box with rocks in it on the front and brought it 440 miles in 9 hours. Oh yeah, wife helped and even fed the replacment heifers at friends while we fed the herd and ground grain. great gal..
