Hi. Does anbody know the diffirence betwean a model B and BF grain drill? I just bought a model BF. It has the grass boxes in the front, dual rope trip, two crank handles for depth. I see pictures of them on ebay with grass boxes on the back, single trip and one hand wheel for depth. Which one is newer? Thanks for the help. Charley.

Hi Kirk. I live in Madrid Ia. north west of DesMoines,22 miles south west of Ames and Iowa State U. I bought it Friday, went and got it Saturday. Hi Jim. Mine is 10 ft. wide. The one i saw on ebay with one trip looked like it was 8 ft. Randy who loaded me has one that has hydraulic lift and he didn't know what the rope trip and the depth adjusters were. Mine has mounts on it to put cylinder on,run connecters to the trip levers and trip it that way. Thanks,Charley.

Just a question. Where are you located. A fellow around the corner from me just had a VB Grain Drill show up in his driveway a couple of days ago. Not you is it?

Wondering if we are neighbors.

Charley,I've seen JD FB grain drills. B drill is plain grain,FB is grain/fert. JD also had latter drills that were FB-A and FB-B. The smaller ones have one mechanical lift, larger have two lifts. One depth wheel per lift.HTH, Tx Jim
